Are these worth keeping?

    It's just a magnifying glass. If you want to continue with researching/collecting coins, you have to have one. You can get a cheap one on eBay or go to a coin store somewhere and get one. They aren't expensive and are useful for other things.

    Just don't believe everything you see on U-tube. Not the best place to learn but basics can be found there. Just remember to think of it as a place where people, that no one wants to listen to, go to tell their story to others that no one wants to listen to.
     
  5. Ok that's good to know and I'm glad that I started this because me losing my mom over a year ago was/is hard so I wanted to start a hobby

    YouTube is underrated, my opinion. Search minting of coins and see for yourself how rapidly these coins are fired off. Put in die making process and see that for yourself. YouTube is good for things like that because then when you dive into the books for a more complete understanding you have images in your mind you can relate to from the video, and the less abstract for it. Just don't believe what sellers say about their coins.
