Beans aren't 20. Looks like it's really just two people making a mountain out of a molehill. I agree with you as my initial reaction was what is the supposed problem here. If anything it was likely a submitter hoping for a gold
You missed the point. There is no reason for everyone to click anything. If the person uploading the image will just use the full image option, the image will show full size in the post. No need to click, click, click,------------.
When you include postage it is. There are just too many people getting coins certified that are not worth doing. 1963-D Washington Quarters in MS65 are as rare as a steak.
ok now wait, I thought CAC was only putting beans on top tier coins, now your saying they put it on an ugly coin? I'm confused.
Read what he wrote again. He's saying that it was held to a 65 instead of being higher for being ugly. Honestly at that price point it doesn't matter that much. They said it was fine for the grade and didn't see a big issue
Probably in the same manner that this buyer got a MS65 for his "toned" Premier TPG graded coin: https://www.ebay.com/itm/1936-S-Was...359821&hash=item4d6fc17c07:g:zpIAAOSwBt5ZLeG- JMHO
Whether you're a novice or advanced collector, you know that quality is what determines the value of a rare coin. However, within any certified coin grade, not all coins are "solid" quality coins. Now there's an easy way to identify coins that are solid for the grade - a CAC verification sticker. CAC was founded by leading members of the numismatic community who recognized the need for a higher level of grading. With CAC, prices for the solid quality coins can be untethered from the lesser quality counterparts. well I guess my understanding of cac was wrong.
This seems like you're just trying to turn this into a CAC hit piece over a 20 dollar coin at this point. @Beefer518 explained it, it was reexplained and yet you continue
It is a mess to understand. How pretty a coin is, is just one part/factor of grading. With a bit more luster, PCGS may have gave it a 66 but CAC may not have gave it a bean as a 66. With this coin, CAC agreed with it being on the upper end of a 65 grade.
