Well, tonight and tomorrow is Sinterklaas Day in the Netherlands and some other parts of Europe. And while the historic St. Nicholas is from Asia Minor, the Dutch Sinterklaas traditionally arrives from Spain. (Which is also why he comes on a boat.) So tonight is a perfect occasion for getting into a Christmassy mood. Christian
And... furthermore! Tomorrow it is the day for the Spanish Constitution and on December, 8th it's the day for the Immaculate Conception. Both of them are bank holidays in Spain. So I'll have some holidays. It is the weekend when you may see many shops with their Christmas trees, etc, although nowadays it may be a little before. Another thing : As some people receive a visit from Santa Claus, there are many other traditions as chrisild. In Spain they have the tradition of the Magi. Festivus! The wife and I do Christmas at our respective families houses, but on the 23rd we have Festivus. I can't wait for this year's 'Airing of Grievances'!
