Today I was at work (I'm a teller at a US Bank) and Starbucks came in and dropped off a business deposit. In their deposit was this $2 bill. $2 bills aren't unusual...but I quickly noticed it was a red seal note. I know its not worth much of anything, but I liked it and wanted to save it from the shredder. So, I ended up buying it before the end of the day. For face value, I think I did OK.
ok?... OK?... you did better then OK... thats awsome any red seal is exciting to find in circulation!!!! keep her
Ha, when I used to work at Starbucks, NOTHING like that would've escaped landing into the tip jar unnoticed! Either way, nice catch!
Well, it didn't go in their tip jar. They must have got it when someone ordered something and it went in the till and made it all the way to the bank...where I got it when I processed their deposit.
It's in nicer condition than my recent finds. Definitely a keeper. Imagine how many people saw it and passed on the chance to pick it up for face value.
