There is a 2 day coin show at Countryside, Illinois on December 8/9, Saturday and Sunday. Not sure of starting times but usually about 9AM. I'll be there both days as early as possible. Anyone else going?
I'll probably be working at the table for Pete's Coin on Sunday. Stop by and say hi, Carl. I'm the guy with the beard, about 5' 10" , 190lbs and devastatingly handsome.
The only shows i go up north for (i live right outside Bloomington) are the ILNA annual show and the large shows in Rosemont (like the Midwest Coin Expo etc..). Do you ever come down to the east peoria, springfield or bloomington shows?
Gotta miss another one due to lack of funds. One of these days. Now if Mikenoodle were Michellenoodle and a hot babe instead of a coin geek I'd find an excuse! Sorry Mike - you had that coming.
Thanks for the heads up. I could do a little Christmas shopping for myself. Do they have a website with any info? I'll be wearing my cointalk t-shirt.
Mikenoodle: Pretty big show. Hope Pete's Coins will have some kind of sign up so I can say HI. Are you anywhere near the middle by Robert Griffiths? Or closer up front by JMScoins, James Sego? I'll be the older guy carrying a blackish camera looking bag and usually limping. Spock1k: There is a Pace Buss that is supposed to go all the way down Manheim Road and continues on where it becomes LaGrange Road. It is supposed to stop at Joliet Road which is about one block East of the Show. South side of the road in the second large black building. Odd thing is when I type in Illinois Coin Shows in Google it does not show this show. However, when I go to the jmscoins web site and on the far left there is thing that says coin shows and I click on that the 2 day coin show at Countryside, Illinois shows up. Just can't find out the starting times. I go to that show every Month and when on Sundays only supposed to start at 9 but if I get there at 8:30am there are already many people there. Got to look for Moen1305 with a Coin Talk T Shirt. This has to be good. By the way as to the Rosemont Shows. I hate them. $5 to get in, $11 to park, Lousy and expensive food, dealers from all over and usually very high prices. What really makes me mad is no place near by to park free and I only live about 4 or 5 miles from there. See you all at Countryside. Going to buy myself a Christmas Present.
