Guys, Can anyone recommend a good Internet supplier for things like air-tites, tubes, flips, coin books, magnifiers, etc? The source I've been using for the last several years has stopped answering e-mails and hasn't processed an order that I placed over 2 weeks ago. Thanks for any help.
Bigs I've used JP's corner in Missouri a couple times- they seemed good http://www.jpscorner.com/ Snowman
Don't know if I can post that information here without violating forum rules. It is too bad too, because up until now their service had been first rate.
You can. The rule is against self-promotion - that means you can't post links to your own store or sales web site. But you can post links to somebody else's place anytime
for what it's worth, i've used brent-kreuger -- http://www.brent-krueger.com -- a number of times in the past, for both coin and currency supplies. pretty reliable, good prices, and they take paypal. v.
I second the brent-krueger comment. For whatever it's worth, I've also got a lot of 2x2's and airtites from www.valleycoin.com. Fast shipping. (I have nothing to do with them.)
I'll vote for JP's corner too. I've used them several times and they have been good. I originally stumbled across them because I had a problem where an "Internet Store" (www.coinsupplystore.com) with good prices because their online store was setup wrong. Their description matched what I wanted, but how was I supposed to know that the "product number" didn't. Well, after I ship the wrong item back, they refused to refund my shipping because I sent it back to the address on the invoice and not the "return address" on the shipping label on the box. Well the guarantee on their website was as useless as their FAQ and return instructions. The only good about the ordeal was that with a little help from Google, I figured out that return address on the box was for JP's Corner (www.jpscorner.com). Going to their website, I found out that all their prices were cheaper too, especially for Bulk items. So lesson learned: www.jpscorner.com = GOOD www.coinsupplystore.com = BAD, BAD, BAD (it's worth repeating)
I've been using http://www.collectors-outpost.com/ Can't remember how I found them, but I used them for 3 1/2 years with no problems. Well, I did have a slight problem with an order maybe a year ago, but they took care of it immediately. I placed an order with them close to 3 weeks ago and didn't hear back after getting the initial confirmation. I waited. I sent them an e-mail, no answer. I called them but got no answer and was unable to leave a message. Too bad.
I just used brent-krueger but it seems to be taking a long time for shipping. I had ordered some air-tites for the canadian silver maple leafs.
I buy all my supplies from flea markets and coin shows. However, for so many years all I've heard is how great that jpscorner place is, if I ever do buy anything on line it will probably be from them.
