I have many beautiful raw Kennedy Proof Half Dollar coins. I have some stored in air tite holders and most stored in good no pvc, 2x 2 double pocket safe flip holders! I have not decided to send any to TPGS. at this time, but many of them would grade well!
My question is should I be storing all of these proofs in Air Tight holders, or does it not really matter?? Thanks for any advice

Well, I WAS just in that neighborhood last week.

And by the way, if 54 years plus is too soon, tsk, tsk, tsk.

Don't worry, no one could EVER squeeze off ANY shot down there these days - it's too thick with conspiracy nuts falling all over each other hawking sick publications.

I was only 8 when JFK died, but when I was 14, I could have easily made those shots from Lee Harvey Oswald's location. The site is WAAAAY smaller than it looks from documentaries. Having been there, I am 100% certain the Warren Commission got it 100% correct. Arlen Specter wore no shame from that chapter of his career.

I stood EXACTLY where Zapruder stood. Had there been a shot from the "grassy knoll", Zapruder's right eardrum might have gotten blown out - he was THAT close!

Be even more careful about where you store the holders than the holders that you choose.

Both are important, but a bad storage place will badly tone coins, even in the best of holders.

Yep, too many nearby bovines converting carbohydrates into hydrocarbons will tone your stuff, man. Same with UFO-sighting causing swamp gas.

Yeah! Yeah! Yeah! You always think the government is right. Heck, you were only 8 years old when it happened. Me? I was 16 and in the local poolroom skipping school. Nah! I don't think they got it right. I was one hell of a good pool player, and I could shoot the socks off any ball.

Air Tites are a good choice if you want to invest in them. Just store everything, no matter the holder in a good dry situation.

Sure you have , Air Tites are fine but storage space is also key. Not to dry and not to humid and you will be fine. I have noticed with my flips the edge closest to opening starts to change color.

You know, I hope, that believing in government conspiracies is a form of mental illness, right? I believe there's a very specific DSM-IV manual diagnosis for it. In my experience, you can't gather up enough federal employees that are competent enough to pull off a conspiracy.
