can anyone tell me what is going on with this 1986 lincoln cent, and is it worth more than face value?
Plating Bubbles on a Copper Plated Zinc Cent is caused by Environmental Damage It is not a Mint Error and only worth 1 Cent I have hundreds such as your that I find at the park and beach when I metal detect. Fresh and Saltwater exposure ia usually the culprit
I don't Zinc so You must be thinking bout Plating Bubbles and Plating Blisters. They are different from what the blisters that are shown. The issue on this Cent is more extreme caused by Environmental Damage. Think about it as when a person gets a bad sunburn.. bad enough for blisters to form on the skin.
