Show and tell a la clembo folks. A 1985 $10 note with a rather prominent ink smear on the reverse. Hope you like it! http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x275/clembo1872/scan0001-2.jpg http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x275/clembo1872/scan0002-1.jpg
Thang, that is a very large ink smear. Nice find clembo. Just makes you wonder what went wrong with the quality control at the BEP. Lou
Gotta clear it up here guys. I didn't find this one I actually bought it some time ago. Paid $20 for it so it was still a good deal.
Man I say!! Looks like the printer blew his nose on that puppy! Nice Note Clembo...kep em coming. RickieB
You're going to make me dig up some of mine to scan. I sold much of my collection when I got married because I brought so much debt to the marriage and my wife brought none. I felt guilty about it at the time, but regret doing so now. Especially since I sold off the few errors I pulled out of circulation at face value. At the time, I sold them for a premium, but now they are worth a fortune. The two I miss the most that were pulled from circulation are a 1976 $2 with a dramatice overprint shift and a $20 (don't remember the series but I think it was 198x) with about %30 of the ink missing on the reverse due to insufficient ink.
Gatzdon.... Man do I feel for you...honorable thing ya did for the wife...Salute!! Dig out those notes and lets seem..drooling just thinking about it.... Clembo...you have some dang nice errors my friend and I cant' wait to see what ya pull out next!! Regards, RickieB
