Are the 1987 commemorative constitution dollars 90% silver?
and how much are they worth???

I've always thought of them as bullion coins since the mintage was large.

 

It's silver.. Value about $16.00

 

so is it .999 fine silver?

 

Doug mentioned it was 90% silver, but i do think it is .9999 (4 9's) if im not mistaken.

it is a bullion coin. .900 fine, 0.76 ounce of silver plus minus. it is the cheapest of all modern commemorative dollar. it is fun to play with it. and i owned some too. my average cost is $7.50 each. i bought as low as $6.00 and as high as $11.00.

some made of copper nickel and some are gold.

you should have said all modern silver dollar were .900 fine silver.
