    2 quick questions -
    1. Are off centered coins worth anything?
    2. I have a 1983 penny I believe was struck on an oversized planchet. Is it worth grading or just a collectable?

The off center is neat, but not particularly valuable. As for the cent, the weight isn't that far off.

Some really off centers are worth it, but not yours

I do want to be clear that by "not particularly valuable" I didn't mean there's no premium. There certainly is, but not something you'll retire on. ;)

Perhaps compare completed eBay sales of raw examples with a similar degree as it should give a fair idea of worth.

If the cent is copper, it's a big deal. Examine it for zinc spots etc.
I see it's a Philly, I believe all the off metal (copper instead of zinc) cents have come from Denver.
I think the quarter has some value as there is some degree on both sides.
Errors are hard to price. Paddyman might know. Prob. a dollar or two.

I could put that cent under my metal detector and know in 2 seconds if it is zinc or copper. If the scale is calibrated correctly it's only 2 tenths of a gram light of the copper, and almost 4 tenths of a gram heavy on the zinc.

Posting a reverse photo would be a wise addition before thinking too far into this. A close look also suggests what may be plating blisters, but isn't something I'd bet my life upon.
