You're completely missing the point. When interested in such things you'd be wise to simply assume the worst, and in the case where you cannot provide further details about what the roll contains (dates, mints, general conditions, etc), the worst is face value.
$2.50-3.00 maybe....what most do not understand about the 5 cent piece minted between 1939 to date most are not worth much of anything unless in mint state. Look at the mintages.... huge numbers.... were minted.
Not really what I mean. There are some dates and mint marks that are more valuable than 5c. If you have: 1950D, 1939D, 1938D, 1938S, 1939S, 1955P, 1949S, 1950P 1948S or maybe a few others, they may be worth a slight premium.
Depending on condition and possible, varites you may have some value. In average circulated condition you have $2.00
That's certainly a step in the right direction. Thank you. However, since there's no reason to repeat Paddy, I'll simply second his post. I wouldn't see much of an issue if someone wanted a very modest premium for such a roll as kind of a roll the dice thing, but as it stands I can only assume you're talking about well circulated examples.
Nickels aren't clad.
