1943 steel wheat! Found today in a bank box,happy birthday!

    I thought it would be cool to know it was in a sealed roll,but I was too curious.

    Correct me if I'm wrong, but as I understand it...

    Magnetized iron filings can be used in science experiments. One such experiment puts a magnet on a sheet of paper, sprinkling the filings on the magnet to show the (invisible) lines of magnetic flux belonging to the magnet.

    You used magnetized iron filings from a child's toy and sprinkled them over the roll of cents you got while CRH (coin roll hunting). The filings stuck to the side of the roll, indicating a steel core coin was inside. It could have been a Canadian cent but, instead, it turned out to be your posted 1943 steel cent.

    An example of a great idea! (IMHO)

    Yes! I have a small tray I just kinda set the roll in real quick,it takes an extra second,but when you see those little magnets on there it was worth it.
