Roto: Congrats on your conquest! The 16-D is a real bear of a coin to cross off of the list. :::struggling to keep his jealousy in check::: I noticed that it is in a 2x2 and almost cringe when I ask this because I hate negativity in general, but... Have you authenticated it? I only ask because the 16-D is about the most counterfeited coin on the planet and for a cash outlay that a 16-D would entail, it is a realistic concern. I once bought a set with a nice G-VG 16-D in it. Paid $700 for the set... I mean education.
It Feels Soo Gooood :mouth:If you Haven't done it, don't knock it! When you get a chance opportunity to buy a complete set for a very low cost you do it and sort out the coins you want to keep and those you want to sell or give away. It;s a GOOD feeling for a collector to be able to do that. Try it. You'll like lt!!!hya: Bruce
I looked it over very well. The D is in the correct position, but it is too worn to see the split on the left top of the D. The guys that run the auction also have their own coin shop. They are good guys and pretty sharp. They seemed to think there was no problems with it other than being rough.
