Going through my wheat pennies left to me by my father in-law and came across this 1943 copper wheat penny...happy days...and then I took a magnet and it jumped to the magnet like a mouse to cheese.

Sounds like a nice-plated steel cent.

I could imagine the excitement and then let down of that. Keep searching! :)

Thank you Books...I am still learning how much I do not know and I can tell you it is a lot.

Then you'll fit in here just fine. Although some do not like to admit it, each and every one of us also has a lot to learn. :)

Posting photos really isn't that hard to do as long as one knows where it's located/stored on whatever device they're using. If you need help, please don't be afraid to ask.

Mr Books the term " YOU CAN'T FIX STUPID WAS MEANT FOR ME" but thanks for the kind offer...I will continue to fumble around and not bother you guys with my problems.
Doug GDJMSP helped me for almost a week to get myself into cointalk as a member and it was ugly.
    Thanks Al
