Received as part of a group of coins a friend sent me - you know who you are...:thumb:. Thank you very much!!! http://i235.photobucket.com/albums/ee123/USS656/1940SSJeffersonObv.jpg http://i235.photobucket.com/albums/ee123/USS656/1940SSJeffersonRev.jpg http://i235.photobucket.com/albums/ee123/USS656/1940SSJefferson1.jpg http://i235.photobucket.com/albums/ee123/USS656/1940SSJeffersonMMs.jpg
LOL - so easily seen at 90X - with good eyes at 30X you can see there is an RPM but the details are still hard to make out - at 5X nothing but a strong S. It's a really cool coin but I would not have been able to really appreciate the extent without the microscope or a really good digital image I could zoom in with. Really makes me wonder how many errors I miss. Thanks for taking a look!
Thanks Phoenix - most of the errors I find turn out to be Machine Doubling so this one got me pretty excited when I saw it!
Thanks Frank!!! You are sometimes a tough but very fair and generally very accurate member of CT - so good feedback from you always makes my day! BTW: Don't ever change as I would much rather have the facts/opinions regardless of what I hope to hear! Best Regards Darryl
Darryl: I appreciate nice RPM's. Keep looking, I have even found one 1946 D/ Hor. D. Neat variety. I always look for Jerrerson varieties, so far I have cherried: #5: 1939 DDR's. #2 1943/2-- including one that is now in an ANACS AU-50 holder.
