I saw an interesting paper that I thought our Legion guy @Bing might like: Stamp Impressions of the Legio X Fretensis. In: H. Geva, Jewish Quarter Excavations in the Old City of Jerusalem, Vol. II: The Finds from Areas A, W and X-2, Final Report. Jerusalem 2003: 405-422. The paper talks about some items with stamps left by Leg X. Dose anyone here have items with this type impression? I have seen a few in auctions, but I do not follow that kind of item. This link should work - https://www.academia.edu/14503396/S..._and_X-2_Final_Report._Jerusalem_2003_405-422 I have a couple of Leg denarii. I can read the number of only one.
From the same author: The Camp of the Tenth Legion in Jerusalem: An Archaeological Reconsideration. IEJ 34 (1984): 239-254. Wonderful paper!
