    Ghana 1 pesewa 2007.jpg
Ghana, 1 pesewa, 2007. Just an ordinary modern circulating coin, but I found it in an apartment complex's laundry room in Baltimore, Maryland, USA. Guess someone had an interesting vacation, then washed their pants without checking all the pockets first.

This coin arrived tonight. It completes the Silver Proof Britannia series to date. I now have 2013-2017. The problem is I paid almost as much for this one as the other 4 combined. In fact, it's the most I have ever paid for any coin ever. 2 reasons I paid that much. One is that I wanted it to keep the series up to date. I forgot to order it in 2014 and they sold out almost immediately. Mintage was 2,500 and this is the key coin. Two, If I send it in to be certified and it comes back PR70, the value will jump $200-$300 more than I paid. The plastic capsule is sealed and I didn't want to break it out for photos. Scratches on capsule indicates prior owner/s didn't appreciate the value of the coin. On the other hand I may not have it certified. None of the others are and I like keeping the set original. What would you do?

1978 New Zealand One Dollar, proof. I am starting to realize that I like a business strike better than a proof, even when it has some honest wear on it. 1978 NZ-PR 1 d obv.JPG 1978 NZ-PR 1 d rev.JPG

I got this one today too...

I have always wanted one of these, but they were always too expensive.

Got this one at a reasonable price.

This actually isn't new, but I didn't realize I had it. Some of you may know I collect bear coins. Today I was going through my book of German coins and I noticed this one. I have no idea when or where I got it. It's a transit token I believe from the early 1920s. 1921 nurnburg furth 20 pfennig token.jpg

The mail was good to me today. Italy this time:

I had one of these in the past but sold it several years ago. Seller's remorse had me buying a new one.

This one is a dupe...my prior one had done significant time as chat board avatar. This one had some cool toning and somehow I found myself bidding on it.
