No Mint Mark.. Is actually a Philadelphia minted 1982 Cent

 

Yes sir all day until 2017 p are present first time in the history of the us pennies

 

IMHO if there was a D mint mark there at one time It's too far down to the left. Doesn't matter anyway because it would be considered damage if it were removed.

 

Weight matters

 

I think the location of ''whatever'' is on this coin is close enough to make this a cool find.

Well, that's the rarest variety I'm likely to see this year -- the 1982-D, small date, bronze planchet, "No-D" cent!

 

The area in question is damage.

The 1982 Philly small date is copper 3.1 grams.
