I'm gathering my next batch to NGC. I'm waiting on several other coins right now, but I'll definitely send it in by the first half of February, hopefully. :)

I may be stepping over a line here but where did you cherry pick this? Local coin shop, Coin show or on eBay(and no I don’t wanna know who sold it to you). I will say this thread went better then the last matte proof Lincoln Cent thread cough cough and congrats! I can’t wait to see what NGC thinks and please keep us all updated!

That doesn't look as much like a rim ding to me as a lamination or some small imperfection.

but to answer your question directly, no not all of them would have a rim ding, that would have happened after the coin left the Mint.

Nah that rim ding is probably just PMD. For all of the 1913 die diagnostics, I'd look at the posts by @robec on page 2.

Finally today, NGC marked the US submission as "Scheduled for grading."

    9 February - Received

2 March - Scheduled for grading

Just a heads up to anyone wanting to submit coins, US coins may also be delayed, even it's only showing that World coins are delayed to 36 working days (US coins are 21 working days).

I may be late to the party, but nice find!!!! The early Lincoln Matte Proofs are always something I dream of finding someday. Nice job, I can't wait to see how it does. :)

Also, as others have asked, where on earth did you find this beauty?

I have a status of "Quality Control" for my US submission and my World submission is "Scheduled for Grading", so there's no update yet. This was on my Feb submission so I'm going to have to wait a little longer.

I think the big dealers submitted a ton of coins.
