They're the new medals. They have edge lettering and @dwhiz used his photo in a bowl technique so that you could see the medal and edge lettering in one picture

I use a flashlight reflector, I just tilt it a little and shoot.
Then after I crop, I reverse the image

 

Ahhh ok. Since the technique wasn't identified I thought the edge markings were on the face of the pieces.... Now I understand.

 

This arrived Saturday.

Got the idea from Chris and the temptation was to great. Started the 1917 BS Peace 2 months ago as part of my pocket change. Photos are of pocket change and a solo of the 1917...... Post your 1917 Chris, I'd like to see how it's doing?
