I'm not entirely sure why you posted this.... The article is from 3 years ago. Do you have some questions? New parts to the story? Were you affected? Do you know this guy? I'm confused.
I hope it's not the same Mark Yaffe as the president of ICG ... http://www.icgcoin.com/team-view/mark-yaffe/
Yes, it is. ICG actually operated out of the back offices of Yaffe's other business. You can read more here: https://www.bizjournals.com/tampabay/stories/2009/08/03/daily25.html This was a huge story several years ago (around the time it broke, in 2009), but I'm not sure why this poster has resurrected it.
Well, I guess we've answered what Mark Yaffe has to do with ICG. If he was convicted and sentenced more than two years ago, I'm surprised that ICG still features him on their web site -- or is he out now, and back at the helm of the business?

Perhaps the fellow who posted this is an NGC or PCGS dealer. physics-fan3.14, posted: "ICG actually operated out of the back offices of Yaffe's other business." Another case of "DON'T BELEIVE ALL YOU READ." ICG never operated out of National Gold's offices. I'll try to find out the connection FOR SURE before posting but I think he is the principal owner. Yes, he was released early. AFAIK, most of this affair was just another case of not fighting the government and taking a settlement.
OK I'm not a dealer, just a new guy, who woke up this morning not really paying attention, and I saw this article, that google seemed to think was a good idea to post at the top of my news feed. So there the story, I just didn't pay attention to the date. google probably put it at the top of my news feed, do to me researching grading companies the night before.
Oh and Yaffe is still listed as the president of ICG, on their website. So that's what he has to do with ICG.

I guess you missed this answer from almost a year ago. Steven Hufschmidt , posted: "...Yaffe is still listed as the president of ICG, on their website. So that's what he has to do with ICG." BTW, All you fanboys of PCGS, NGC, and the evolving commercial grading standards, ICG just had its best year ever. They just bought a new building in Tampa. Please stop by their table at FUN.
