The correct numismatic terminology is Doubled Die.. Not double. And they are considered a variety. So it's Doubled Die Varieties
PS: The 1969-S Double-die rotates in the opposite direction that the one illustrated in " Rotation", hence why the nose is going up ( to the left) instaed of down ( to the right) around the circle.
Again, if you cannot address your earlier repeated claim regarding the posted 74-D 1C (made all while whining about the supposed lack of "pertinent answers"), there's absolutely no reason for anyone to waste their time addressing or considering whatever other nonsense you're now trying to claim.
I said: Machine doubling on the reverse and doubled die on the obverse. It is a 1974-D DDO-001, and the value is around 20 bucks in a VF grade.
The letters are single and flatten on the reverse, where machine doubling is seen all around the lettering, while each letter is doubled on the obverse, which separation was identifiable as the letters are notched, and are due to a doubled-die error.
Uhh, no. This simply doesn't cut it. Fair effort, but is also a failing one that will hopefully exist as a wake up call to the fact you've much more to learn. Did you bother to compare the mintmark locations?
I would like to point out that I was able to determine the answer I was getting lacked the input of any knowledge nor was constructive, as the sentence started by: " There is No debate". I never pretended having more knowledge. This is a second time you misinterpret my questions.
Do you think new members are wrong to ask questions regarding coins on here, because this isn't the point of this website? Instead of researching them, should they be ask Google? As rhetorically, where did your responses come from?
First, you didn't "determine the answer", but now wish to suggest it's our fault you were wrong? Perhaps we should we revisit.... You were asked a direct question and answered two minutes later, so don't give me this crap about "misinterpreting your questions". It's nothing more than deflective nonsense. I'm sorry, but I've absolutely no desire to sit here and play games with you. Perhaps you haven't noticed the decline in members trying to help you? This is why.
I hope you will think about this for a while. All you have done is pretend about the knowledge you have. That won't fly here. I'm also finished with your games. Folks here tried to help and you turned it away.
You really don’t have a clue do you?no doubling on the Obverse and reverse Machine doubling all the way!!!!! Classic example!!!!! If you can’t tell from this coin you need to take some classes at the next major show in your area! Reed and a bewildered Sparkles the Unicorn.
