Have I just found myself a 1969-S DDO?

It was a simple question. Lets try this. Where did you learn that there is a 1969-S doubled die cent?

The question is what you see on my pics, not on #4. We've seen that pic on google many times.

I am a member of Whitman Publishing and ANA numismatics, I have gathered information about the 1969-S Doubled-die on PCGS.com, NGC.com, Heritage.com, links to the other websites and history archives. What is the purpose of your simple question?

Could you please be more explicit ?

With all your information gathering, did you see what a real 1969-S DDO looks like?

God knows if the penny sold for $100,000.00 is even real, the question is have you seen one like that with your own eyes? Otherwise, OF WHAT YOU KNOW ABOUT DOUBLING, did you see what my coin look like, and able to provide some technical and knowledgeable insight?

ERRORS ARE UNPREDICTABLE. YOU SPEAK AS IF THE CHANCES OF ANOTHER 1969-S DOUBLING ERROR WOULD BE IMPOSSIBLE TO HAVE OCCURRED. WHAT IS THAT? ARE ERROR TOTALLY PLANNED AHEAD, THAT WE WOULD KNOW FOR SURE WHAT AND WHERE THEY BE, RIGHT OFF THE BAT ?

The images you posted look nothing like the real 1969-S DDO.
I'm thinking that PCGS has grader 4 of these. I don't know about NGC.
It's very possible that more will be found but your coin is not even close.
Yes, I have seen a real one in hand.

Your coin. All I see is a bit of machine doubling. Maybe this image will be of help.

I'm not sure how I can be any more explicit other than to simply rephrase.

In post #1 the photos you posted jpg files whereas the later attachments are PDF files. Many folks are hesitant to open PDF files posted by someone not known to them, so if you could please repost the image as a jpg, perhaps we can be of greater assistance.

The coin in question (1969-S DDO #1) would be a variety as opposed to an error.

The examples I provided to show you what a "rotation" ( same center) is as opposed to a "shift" ( off-center) of two circles is actually a personal sketch I drew myself I can only save as a PFD. Sorry, no pictures.

It's 1969-S DDO-WW1, and doubled-die is one type amongst the variety of possible errors.

FYI, there are 1969-S that were found having both doubled-die and machine doubling errors on them.

Some were found having machine doubling on the mintmark. Is it true or false? God knows! Yet, this information can be found on notorious numismatic websites, perhaps to create controversy, or we might just have learned a bit more of what we didn't know of what happened in 1969.

We need to know what to learn, to learn what we know.

The only thing that I can see from your pics is some machine doubling in the S and T of TRUST.

Here is a link to CONECAs site.

There may be some minor DDOs that match up with something you see. If I need more than 3X magnifier to see it, then it doesn't interest me, but to each his own. I'm sure there's stuff that I like, that others find a waste of time. There are a couple people on CT that are very knowledgeable about the DDs listed by CONECA, so if you think you have one of the minor types they may be able to help.

Look at the T, in the picture below and tell me why it's not doubled. Yes, I can see the machine doubling on top of the T. Still, it is also doubled.
