Well guys..I got off my rear end and scanned new pics of the note. My dealer in Idaho called me today and asked me how it felt to own one of the two finest examples known and graded by PCGS..... WOW!! I feel really lucky. From what I was told the PCGS population on this note is 2 in Gem66PPQ and here is one of the two....I am a happy papa to say the least! Enjoy... RickieB
Love it - Love it - Love it - Love it - Love it - Love it - Love it - Love it - Love it - I think u get the idea
Dang, awesome man! That is just plain out awesome! That guy must have cost a pretty penny, but was probably worth it. Man, only two in that condition, that's hard to beat. I remember back when you were talking about the start of your New York notes, and look where you are now! Been a long year. Very nice note Rickie. :thumb: Phoenix
im gonna cry i just might have to hijack that image when its posted on your site, and post it as my own on mine
Dagger..LOL I felt like that today when he called me and gave me the news.... I am estatic to say the least... RickieB
RickieB, I think ecstatic would be putting it kind of mildly in my opinion. Thank you very much for sharing! Lou
Way cool! That is one NICE note! Now all you need to do is to send it back in a few hundred times and get it upgraded by one point and you will have the top POP!!! J/K Speedy
To be honest Speedy..I had no idea it was in the top tier at PCGS. I bought this note after months of searching in an attempt to put the set $5,10,20,50 and $100 notes together...the $50 and $100 in AU condition are $$$$ mid range four figures each....will be a while before I can eve think of adding these... unless I hit the lottery... I wish we would go back to such designs on the reverse of our currency. They were much more elaborate and nicer. Maybe go for the 'educational' theme. Since they already plan to change the design every 10 years or so, start adding depictions of key moments in US history. Heck, they can probably even microprint key documents like the declaration of independence and call it a security feature.
Absolutely amazing note, but I think it is a fake. Jackson is on the $20 Congratulations! Definitely a crown jewel of an addition! Mike
not always he wasnt look up the friedburg number in the book Paper Mioney of the United States - as a hint, its on page 127 in my 17th edition book.
