I dug up one like that a couple weeks ago. Could be gold plated. No extra value. In fact plating it is considered damage.
It's worth keeping, because, it's cool looking, it's not costing anything to save it. It just doesn't have any value.
I agree. Probably gold plated. Not really worth any premium (unless somebody just wanted to give you a buck or two for it as a curiosity). But a fun find anyway, and like @Michael K said, it's only costing you one cent if you want to keep it.
