2006 silver state quarter error?

I found this 2006 D silver quarter yesterday and try to google up for information. Ive read that there was no P or D silver was made only S. Just wanted to see if this is the real silver or not. And if is it how rare is that? Need help to with some info.

It's been plated as a novelty item;
sold on TV as sets, then the sets
are broken up and the coins find
themselves in circulation.

 

Yep! It's only worth 25c.

What you're seeing might not even BE silver. There were also platinum "washed" sets sold.

 

spend it.

but, keep looking.

 

So someone else will find it and come around asking the same question.
