  1. Has anyone ever seen or heard of 1964 clad error quarters or even dimes? 26838906_36757289_2200.jpg

1964 was the last year of the Silver Quarter and Dime.. Clad started in 1965

So I don't see how it could be possible.
Have you heard of such a thing?

  4. My grandpa said 1964 dated silver coins were minted in 1965 and early 1966 so I'm thinking maybe a clad blank made it into the 1964 stamping area.

Here you go.. Seems like the answer is yes

I want to share this webpage with you -

Quote - "Yes, clad coinage has its scarcities. There are error coins struck in the wrong metal. Dimes and quarters dated 1964 and struck in clad material are known, along with 1965 dimes and quarters struck in 90 -percent silver. A 1965 half dollar struck in 90 percent silver exists." Yes, there are such things.

I have a 1964 Cent struck on a Clad dime planchet
    out on approval right now.

There are numerous Transitional, and what I call
Reverse Transitional, issues dated 1964 thru 1967

  8. Do you have a picture of it?
