Victory / Nike - Let's see them

    Your point holds (so to speak!) pretty well for early Imperial coins, but both RR and Severan coins show Victory in any number of poses other than being perched fairy-like on the palm of some ruler's hand. See my posts on page one of this thread for quite a diverse range of Republican examples; Doug and others have posted a number of later coins with Victory walking, running and flying.
