Hi everyone I’m new to this site it’s my first post here. So I just received a $1 bill and the 0 in the serial number is considerably lower and I was wondering if anyone had any information about it? Thanks in advance. ~Jeremy
Welcome to CoinTalk Jeremy. Nice find! Someone will give you the scoop on the bill. I would keep myself, but I'm not a currency expert.
Welcome to CT. That's a fairly crisp not with a bent corner and one fold that I can see. What you have is called a dropped digit. Nice to have but not worth more than face value. Nice find.
Welcome to CT @Jeremy Sanders What you have is called a turned digit error. Nice find. This is an example from Fred Bart’s error guide.
Ok great thanks everyone! I learned something already. I’m putting it in a sleeve and holding onto it.
