I'm new to coin hunting/collecting. I'm asking for help and thoughts on my recent find. I've done some searching and not found anything close to what I have. I think it could be special. What do y'all think? Thanks for the help and hopefully so knowledge.

Popped plating blisters. Better spend it before it dissentigrates.

Don't post your coins in the 'What's it worth forum' that's for coins that are rare or precious metals.. Post at the Error Coins forum only -

What you have is a Copper Plated Zinc Cent with Damage. Plating Bubbles that ruptured! Only worth 1 Cent :yack:

You would be incorrect in that thought. Sorry. But you are wrong.

While I can understand your position, the other guys are without a doubt correct.

In addition to the importance of having a fair understanding of the minting process, in cases like this it often helps to look at as many coins displaying the same type of anomaly. To achieve this you can either search out similar coins (this is fairly common in early zinc Lincolns) or simply try to locate photos showing the same.

You may find this link somewhat helpful.
