No, but the Mongols stirred them up, and they (Magyars) stirred up the rest of Europe at one point in history
Thank you all for participating and following trough posting images. This has been quite the year of gifts in the exchange. We had two gold coins, lots of high grade slabbed coins, some lovely toners, beautiful paper money, mint sets, silver dollars, proof and SMS coins, ancients and so much more. It was all great to see, but my favorite part is that I think we have all learned a little something personal about our recipients. In the end, we coin collectors are a very small group, but coming together like this makes us more of a community and less of another anonymous online forum. To me, this the true spirit of the holiday and I appreciate you all very much. Has everyone received a gift? Did we actually make it the first year with no grinch? If you have not received a gift yet, please let me know.
Also, it would be a real treat to see that second gold piece, cant remember who it was. @Kirkuleez Happy New Year to you all! Please be safe.
From what I saw posted, every Secret Santa was very generous. Hopefully, all recipients were surprised and happy with their gifts! Nice job to all Santa's. Thanks again @Kirkleez for the organization and I look forward to next year's sign up. I wish an early Happy New Year Everyone!
@Rassi received a miniature gold Lincoln cent. https://www.cointalk.com/threads/secret-santa-2017-sign-up.305093/page-41#post-2947288 You did indeed.
I have to say, as a Santa i appreciated the thanks i received from my giftee. I think i speak for all the Santas when i say, you're welcome ! I enjoyed this year. My gift was cool and the gift i sent out was cool, and well received.
I feel the same way. Cheeky as the gift was, seeing it listed for sale shortly thereafter is to me a slap in the face.
I enjoyed it for a while. It gave me a good chuckle everytime I saw it. I'm grateful. Time to let a true DC collector and fan enjoy it now. Sorry some of you are sore about it, but I feel good about it.
Of course you feel good about it, you're making money off a gift sent to you. Frankly, the right thing to do would be to give it away, since it was a gift to you, but that's just my opinion, and you're entitled to yours. I'm also entitled to completely disagree with you and the way you go about your business, which you keep rather public.
