    V. Kurt Bellman Yes, I'm blunt! Get over your "feeeeelings".

As much as I understand the desire and the impulse, that's not quite how this works.

    Nor is that.

As long as we are on 1960-D cents, I came across this while searching rolls. I know there is no premium. I was just looking for an opinion on S in PLURIBUS. Die crack or struck-in?

I will agree with you. Your coin definately shows signs of doubling, and as Ken454
said it is from "Machine Doubling" not from a "Doubled Die".

What you have is a small date with the WWHO .

1960-D 1¢ WWHO-001 Small Date Doubled Working Hub

Description: A spread towards the rim shows on the lower part of the letters of IGWT.

Die Markers: Obverse: Small Date. Will vary among the individual working dies. Reverse: Will vary among the individual working dies.

It does have a very nice RPM. Repunched mint mark. Definitely a keeper. Nice coin.

I'm seeing doubling on the date and LIBERTY. Looks like MD to me.

I guess I was wrong to post my 1960-D coin here. My apologies to all for confusing things.

Khalil, your photos are hard to tell, as the light comes from a strong angle, and that tends to make most brighter coins look doubled. Also the contrast is rather high. Jersey, yours is flatter lighting, so it is easier to see, ( and I dont see any DD), but I suspect you enlarged it with a software program, as there is some minor pixelation. Also, some times a coin can have both a DD and a RPM. Here is my 1960-D photo where this occurs. It is both DDO and RPM.

It is always best to create your own separate thread. Unless a member asks to post a similiar coin.

@Rick Stachowski would you agree the op's
Coin is an rpm? Not a doubled die. Just an rpm.
