I was looking through my tube of cents with dates in the "teens," and I looked a little closer than I had before at this one. Okay, try not to laugh... Is that little blob with a hole below the date a "D" or is it just another crater in this pizza-faced coin?
Okay, how about an even worse photo? Under the "right lighting" it looks like a 14-D! Honest... I'll see what I can do about getting a good shot of the date...
Hahaha when you make your pictures that small, it could be anything I see too much of a curve where the 1 would be. Looks more like a 3.
I also saw a 34. The 1934 has a different looking date than many other cents. The 3 is an odd shape and the 4 is very short.
Felt the same as @Michael K - that '34 date is a bit unique. I've also gone through the "doing everything in my power to see a 14d in a pitted wheat I've found in a bag" exercise. Same with a 16D Mercury...haha
