    Malaysia - 2017.

60th anniversary of the independence of Malaysia. Ringgit Malaysia 600 commemorative note.

Released on January 2018, this commemorative note marks the 60th anniversary of Malaysia's independence since 1957. Measuring at 22 x 37cm, this note broke the world record as of issue date previously held by the 1998 100,000 Philippines Peso at 22 x 33 cm. The obverse shows tge potrait of the Agongs (Head of States) of Malaysia since independence surrounding the throne. The reverse shows pictures of the signing of the Independence agreement in 1957 by various Sultans of Malaya and the British commissioner.

At a limited edition of 6,000 issues, the notes were open to the public via a balloting system and limited to 1 piece per individual. A standard sized 3-piece uncut and cut single notes were also offered.

Soon it will be the battle of "who can produce the largest banknote in the world".

Next up, A3 size followed by A2, A1 and A0.

Loong Siew, would you mind posting a photo of the 600 RM note next to a US dollar so we have some scale?
