Here is a site with good information concerning small dollar coins. The 1979 Near Date is worth looking for. http://www.smalldollars.com/index.html#president
You know what the problem is. (When someone says, Have you tried Google?) Me and all the other dinosaurs had to read books, use trial and error, learn from our own mistakes. And put some time in. Which was more fun and more educational. Today, people have all the information in the world, since the beginning of time, literally at their fingertips. And these same lazy people just expect other people to lay everything out for them. I wonder what it's like to have such a sense of entitlement. Well don't worry, I won't try to help you any more. Have a nice day.
I hear you and glad you said it! Nobody is trying to be an a$$ when they ask someone if you tried google yet. There's plenty of information on the internet and you can look for it before even asking. Nothing more, nothing less. ~Cheers!
Could they have positioned that clipped coin just a little bit differently? Why did they position the coin so the clip is covered by one of the holder-ma-bopper-parts? /tiltyrant
NGC always does this. It's so annoying! I have tons of clips that are covered...even Collar Die breaks
Sure do. There's the Strike Thru SBA Dollar Errors. The Incomplete planchet SBA Dollar Errors. (Clips) The Sintered Planchet SBA Dollar Errors. The Off Center Strike SBA Dollar Errors. The Near Date (Wide Rim) SBA Dollar Varieties. The Type 1 and Type 2 SBA Proof Dollar Varieties. The Mis-aligned Die SBA Dollar Errors. Wud I miss?
