I have a 1958 proof with some of this skittle toning patterns. Maybe @robec can post the pictures that he took of it for you to see.
These you may wish to research somewhat....I have seen some of these photo pins and badges go for some serious money.
Thanks for all the great comments on my "smallpox" proof. They were spot-on! This arrived in the same mail. I had to free it from its PCGS holder so I could appreciate it. It used to be PR64BN. It looks like they polished the die to the point of blending his lapel into the obverse field, and fading out the E in UNITED.
Got this one in today to add to the type set. Apparently I am awful at cropping the reverse actually is circular like the obverse
If only I somehow found a SLQ struck on a SBA planchet. The mint would have some explaining to do about that one
Another new addition to my Morgan collection. 1886 O AU 58 Conditional rarity, bigger $ in MS grades. Not bad at AU 58.
I guess the under $50.00 thread died so I'll post my little dinkers here. ha All for under $25 My first love token: $15 Everything else was in the under 5 case Nice woody/purple toned.
I picked this one up from my favorite local shop. It was in a newer ANACS AU-55 Holder. I cracked it out in order to photograph it properly. She is now free as a bird. The mirrored fields are very beautiful, but are being obscured by the toning, which only pops when the light is reflected directly off them, but I do love the color.
Sweet!! I have yet to buy a graded MS-66 Morgan. I've had one GSA that I bought that I had graded and came back 66. I think this year I should pull the trigger.
I can't believe you got that for 40 slabbed. My LCS is really good about pricing except Morgan's. All AU/MS loose Morgan's are $37.50 :/ What an awesome snag though! Hope it comes back high!
