1994 D overlapping penny on dime

    Can you post picture's of the Obverse and Reverse? It would help in determining the value.

    that would be a magicians coin. The cent has been hollowed out on a lathe and a dime inserted into the cavity. The dime is clad (sliver colored in the photo) and the cent is copper. This doesn't happen at the mint.

    KATIEBUG, You should have left the pix. This is an educational site and many people come here with the same kind of question. It's nice for them to be able to see different types of the same phenomenon and compare those to genuine errors and so forth. Those were great pix to show a certain type of altered coin. Please put them back up so that others may learn from them too.

    And yes, great trick worth more than the eleven cents it's made from.
