The Internet has its PLACE, and its valid USE, which is NOT EVERYWHERE for EVERYTHING! Learn that and internalize it. Make it your mantra. That is as much wisdom as I am capable of offering.

The Internet is a frickin' TOOL, nothing more. Stop obsessing on it. Carpenters USE hammers, they don't obsess about their virtue.

For a newbie, it helps them get more interested I think. CT is NOT the only place and it's not as well known as youtube. I'm not saying newbies should follow what YT videos say...just that they're not idiots for watching YT as a beginner. Do a poll on the members here and I'll bet a lot started with YT.

Exactly. You calling people who are new to coin hobby an idiot for watching YT is not right. Eventually they will learn which videos are garbage, you, a commenter on an open forum is no different than those YTbers...you're offering opinion, not expertise.

Heck, one of them says I know how to WRITE websites, and another says I know to administer networks. You're not typing to some bumpkin here. I also know what the Internet SUCKS at, like providing useful information that is segregated from the garbage.

Lets start with this then. Show me some videos on you tube, "other than TPG related', that have correct information. I'd say that 99.5% is incorrect, and total BS.

I never said they're correct but it does make some people get more interested, specially the "instant millionaire" videos...then as they do more research, they end up going to coin communities to learn more or maybe do more research on the internet to learn more. My point is not to defend youtube, just that anyone who is starting on this coin hobby are NOT idiots for watching youtube videos. When you first started, did you not watch youtube videos? You must've have to (now) know it's mostly garbage.
