Coin Cleaning

    Is it ok to clean off debris from a coin using a Q-Tip? It's hard to find DD's, RPM's, and OMM's when you can't see it clear enough. If it's not a good idea, are there any solutions to this problem?

    Try soaking the coin in hot soapy water, no scrubbing! You can try alcohol and/or acetone also. Just remember, no scrubbing, but a light touch with a Q-tip will not harm the coin!:kewl:

    soaking in olive oil is also effective, depending on the 'gunk' on the coin.
