I have a 2017-P Lincoln cent that was struck through grease. Should I get it graded?

we need pics of your coin to see it. I am guessing it will not need to be graded.

If you can tell that it is a 2017-P, then it is not major enough to be graded. It may be worth more than a cent to some, depending on the size of the affected area. Pics would be great! It may not actually be an error.

Grease? It's got groove, it's got meaning. So it has that going for it.

Nah, leave the coin raw. Have the grease graded.

There was a time when it was "good to be Travolta". Then he went nuts. For age 69, Olivia is still not bad to look at. Pretty amazing.

First, welcome to CT! If you follow along frequently, you will get the gist of it.

Should you decide to have that coin graded, you will always have an example of what not to do. (Unless you eventually decide to sell it, in which case you should be able to get at least $0.01 for it.)

    I don't think it's worth getting a coin graded that isn't valuable. ($200+)
Your coin could be worth a nickel. It could be worth a little more $1.
Do you want to spent $30 and up to grade a coin that isn't worth anything?
25 cent coin in a 30 dollar slab.

Fun fact: You can, and it has been done, polish an actual turd. It's on YouTube and proven by Adam and Jaime on Mythbusters.
