First thing that bothers me is no closeup of the DD. That is the trick a low grade DD in a slap from a distance
I agree. I think some people assume the certification guarantees that the coin is what they think it is.
Well, my thought is on this one is that they should do their research before buying a coin like that. If you are in the market for a coin, my thought would be learn all you can about that coin, especially a DDO such as that. Also, another thing is, if it's too good to be true, it probably is. Phoenix
Here we go again. 1972 LINCOLN CENT NGC MS 65 RED DOUBLE DIE OBVERSE http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=180182773536&ssPageName=ADME:B:SS:US:1123 This one is attributed simply as FS 033.5. It could be any one of 6 minor die types but it most definitely is not "ONE NEEDED TO COMPLETE MOST COLLECTIONS!"
The questions and answers are only posted if the seller choses to have them posted. You ask an embarrassing question that points out his deception and it simply won't be posted.
does anyone know how and when ebay considers shipping to high and how is this figured out because i have seen some crazy shipping charges and every time i report them nothing seems to happen
I don't think they do. I've seen some shipping charges as high as $35 for shipping. But I don't think ebay does anything about it, but I agree, it is pretty ridiculous in a lot of cases. One of the reasons they do that is if you return the coin, the are obligated to return the money you paid for the coin, but they don't have to give you the shipping. Phoenix
I have seen lots of listings removed due to excessive shipping. For coins, under $10 I have never seen anything happen. Over $15, virtually every one has been pulled unless they are shipping next day or have insurance included for an expensive coin.
I just asked seller if this is the expensive one in the Redbook, or one of the more common cheaper ones, and to please post reply in the listing. We'll see
