At my age I still get a tad giddy when I find old money in my pocket change. In recent months I have come across several wheat cents. Last year a boy at the auto parts store was giving me a quarter in change. He dropped it and I knew it had the ring of silver. The boy said that sounds fake. Told him I was happy to accept that as change...... Seems I have seen more old money in my pocket change in recent years. And that's fine with me.
I recently spent all my circulated 1940 and 1941 plain nickels. They had been sitting around for decades and it wasn't worth keeping them, so I spent them at face. Maybe you got mine.
Me too. I had about a dozen 40's-50's sitting on my dresser plus a couple wheat pennies that I spent last week. They weren't doing anything for me, so maybe putting them back into circulation may spark some interest in a person who receives them
