Is this Franklin worth more than melt?

    Sorry about that lately I can't get a good pic to save my Butt! I just did not know with the nice tone if it would be desired for more than melt.

    Melt only I think. Photos make it hard to say for sure but they look like junk halves in a snP case. That doesn't make it worth more.

    I think that the patina is disguising heavy polishing.

    A girl from a convenience store gave it to me, I put it in the snap lock like I do all my pre 65 silver. Have been thinking lately of cleaning house and going in a dif direction. Like I said I did not want to get rid of it for melt if it was desired? I am gonna have a few more coins and pics to ask about tomorrow and the next few days.

    Toning is damage, and while some might pay more for toning, that coin is worth melt to everyone.

    Unfortunately, the heavy polishing counteracts any toning. That is a heavily polished, circulated half - it is only worth melt.
