Working on building a date set of Morgans in MS-63. This is the only CC mintmark coin in the set. The rest of the set is evenly divided among the other mints.

Couple of cool cracks and clashes! Sweet coin!

 

Won this last night. I don't usually go for toned coins, this one caught my eye.

 

Working in retail I find a lot of cool coins (and bills) that I can buy out of my register for face value. Last week was a great week in many ways including my coin finds:

Partial 1970 Proof set: 40% half and clad quarter and dime
Proof clad Quarters: 1969 and 1981
1945 Quarter
1946 and 1964 dimes, 1956 Canadian dime
2 1943 war nickels
1936 Indian Head nickel

 

I've known for a long time that my type set example was going to be a 38-D seeing so many beautiful ones posted here, so just been waiting for the right one to jump out at me and this was definitely the one. I can't come close to doing the beautiful colors justice (all sorts of nice subtle pastels in there) so it'll be on it's way to @jtlee321 eventually for sure.

 

Ohhhh... Sending me a 1938-D Buffalo, especially a nice one is dangerous...

Those liquid luster 38-D Buffs mesmerize me as well. Love 'em.

 

I just snagged a Buffalo in an old holder that I have been on the hunt for for a long while. It was a perfect storm scenario. It is a MS-65 1913 Type 1 Buffalo in an old NGC Fatty with the gold hot stamped logo on the back. None have come up for sale on Heritage or Great Collections in years. None have been sold on eBay in the completed history, so I have no idea how long it's been since one sold on eBay. I really can't wait to get it in hand.

 

This is one I managed to pry away from @jtlee321, so every other one he still has is better than this.



To keep your transactions above board, you should both send me all your Buffaloes for safekeeping. Sound good?

 

1875-S 20¢ graded XF40 by PCGS - one of my favorite funky denominations. It's a close tie with the equally funky ½¢.

quite scarce in circulated condition - oddly. The issue must have been often hoarded by collectors at the time it was minted but rarely put to use!. One of only 2 w CAC. I like lightly circulated coins - mucho mojo! hah!

The coin on the left is used as a comp. The coin on the right I just purchased. It is the newest example of a Sheldon NC-1 with 31-45 known.

Dateless doesn't mean unidentifiable. It just means affordable.
