Recently decided to collect a set of IKES but can not seem to find any reference materials. What would be a good source? Thanks
nickelman, type in collecting eisenhower dollars into google there are lots of sites out there. :smile
CONECA has a variety listing but I'm not too big on those master listings. I think there is also a book or two about Ike's but from what I understand they are out of print. I'll do a search and see if I can come up with anything Speedy
Thanks coinlover, I should have been more specific thou. I'm looking for a good reference book on IKES.
I checked my one place and I found that the one book I thought was about Ikes was about Kennedy Halves....I'll keep checking because I think I have seen one. Speedy
How about The Authoritative Reference on Eisenhower Dollars by John Wexler, Bill Crawford and Kevin Flynn. You can get the book here.http://www.telecoins.com/books/dollars.html Lou
Ikes are a great choice both the clad and 40% silver. Some of the 40% are getting harder to find in high grade MS and Proof. One 40% Ike has more silver then 2 40% Kennedy's
I knew that I didn't dream it up. On the new CONECA website www.varietyvista.com it says that James Wiles wrote a book on Ike varieties... Speedy
