My last purchase of 2017. These slabs are uber rare today & similar in size and feel to Rattlers. The company was around for a only a very short time and they tended to be undergraded by today's standards so many of the already rare to begin with slabs have been cracked. Very neat LDS VAM 5A too with a lot going on... http://www.vamworld.com/1921-P VAM-5A
Very nice coin, vam, slab. Sure looks like a 65, & Never heard of numex. Be a good one for the holder premium thread
The interesting thing about the earlier Numex is that they do something similar to NCI and include the owner in the cert. IEX is probable I -something- EXchange.
Is that what it's for? I always thought this was just part of some code. The only other one I see is an image from online with the letters "WRX"
And some info from Conder found in other threads: "Numex 1 A small slab similar to the small ACG slabs. The front label is reminiscent of the PCGS 1 label in layout and with the perforated edges, but with letter quality printing rather than dot matrix. The back label is simple and neat. No hologram, just the company logo superimposed on a group of cocentric circles which are centered just below the E in Numex." "This appears to be yet another third party service based on a license from ACG for the shells. Dates of operation unknown, first seen June of 2002."
