I have a buddy that works as a bank teller that's on the lookout for old and interesting coins for me. He recently found this 1888 Morgan silver dollar and knowing it's more than it's face value I would like to purchase it from him but being new to collecting I don't know what to begin to value it at, as I'd like to reimburse him for the find.
It seems to be in good condition and the detail isn't worn. I told him I'd give him $25-$40 for it, but I'd like to see what it's value could be before I potentially rip him off or myself off. Any help would be appreciated!

    1888 Morgan? All I see is a 1884 Morgan plus a 1928 Peace.

The Morgan looks XF+. With the scuffs, maybe 25-27$

I'd give him $32.00 for both. $3.00 above melt each.

That Peace Dollar is a 1923.

Thanks as I was wondering what the value of the other would be along with it.

    Thanks! Greatly appreciated!

So it is! I was wondering, given the rarity of of a 1928. But my point was that it was not a 1888.
