Every once in while I come across a World Trade Center recovery coin and I'll pick it up if I could find it for decent price. Now on my last pickup I got this going for like 30 bucks just something to add to my plethora of oddities that I own. Now in a comparison of the piece of your slabs from that era, I'm finding that this slab in particular the color scheme is very flat, there's no texture to the print, the hologram on the back seems like it doesn't belong there for that slab, the in one we are looking at is the jamaican penny which is the slab in question

Can you explain what 9-11 WTC Recovery and how a coin from Jamaica are related.
    I don't get it o_O

People were storing many differnt types of coins in the vaults. Someone was storing some Jamacians apparently. The main holdings were popular gold and silver bullion like gold & silver eagles, maples, kruggerands and Philharmonics but there is some interesting stuff in WTC slabs. Including small gold & silver bars.

I don't see anything a miss with the op slab. Although with the insane premiums some can bring I'm surprised I haven't seen any fakes before.

I'd avoid this series of slabs - the provenance of post-9/11 recovered anything is rather difficult to authenticate and doesn't warrant the excessive premiums

My understand was the the vaults were COMEX vaults and I have never seen anything but precious metal items in 911 slabs. (I'm pretty sure the vaults were NOT from private citizens.) So I have no idea why a Jamaican half penny would have been in the vault. No way to tell from those images if the slab is real or not.
