If you could take another pic and crop out The back ground I think you will find. That you might get a little more help it's hard to tell from the pic's you provided. Dave
Here's one I want you to check your coin for . http://varietyvista.com/01b LC Doubled Dies Vol 2/1982DDDO001.htm Keep in mind we can't really make out those images . First thing you have to do is weigh the coin . There's Zinc and Copper Planchets .
I am not an expert but when I see the proliferation of typos and atrocious photos on this site, I question the site's value and it ticks me off as it is a terrible waste of time for anyone that's using this site, especially viewing the posts of people asking for input. If you are going to post photos, please make sure they are cropped tightly and IN FOCUS. Also please use reasonably intelligent and cogent English that is also intelligible. Use spell check, if you can't spell. If you can't take a SHARP photo, don't post. No one can decipher RMPs, OMMs or any other anomaly from a photo of mud!
Now this is good, a new person complaining about images a new person has posted and responded to by a new person, I LOVE IT! Here we go...... Yeah I hate out of focus tunnel vision close up images of tilted improperly oriented coins also! Punctuation is over rated and run on sentences seem to rule some posts these days. Signs of the times were in. WE DONT WANT THESE: (The 4th crappy image is mine ) I took all the images below with my iPhone and a clip on lense. These are the minimum I’ll post and my images are not so good. Please always include Obverse and Reverse images, 3rd side if there are rim questions and close ups only if their nice. WE WANT THESE: Nobody loves the lowly planchet so here’s some love to you Mr. I never got to be Lincoln! I hope this helps soften the not so nice blow you took. Don’t let it bother you your fine just work on your imaging skills it takes practice you’ll get it. Sincerely, Reed
@Kevin Weaver, you’ve been a member for over a year and have only eight posts. I don’t appreciate poor photography either, but have posted only a photo or two, so don’t feel qualified or privileged to complain. I am a damn good speller and shake my head a lot when reading posts filled with poor spelling and grammar. However, if I can get the posters’ meanings, I prefer to “live and let live.” I would encourage you to consider doing the same. IMHO someone with less than an average of one post per month has little credibility complaining. At least the ones you are complaining about are doing SOMETHING. Steve
Steve - first of all, length of membership & #of posts are not qualifiers for responding or commenting on this site! If you look at my profile, you would probably call me a "newbie", yet I have been collecting coins & notes since the 1950's. And while I have been closely monitoring this site for over 4 years, you can see that I only recently "joined". Kevin merely stated something (which we are all thinking) because it's obvious the new poster has not investigated this site, or the number of times "1882 penny" (read: cent) has been posted. Despite the numerous times it has been suggested by very knowledgeable people on many, many, many threads to post better pic's, or communicate more clearly what information they are looking for (albeit misppellingss are inevitable) it keeps happening, & on the same subjects. Hopefully, the OP (& other "newbies") will take these critiques into consideration, watch this site for awhile, and pick up some solid tips to optimize their experience, because either one is going to learn or be left behind. Steve, you stated that "at least the ones you are complaining about are doing SOMETHING." and therein lies the problem - they are not doing anything to "invest" in their supposed interest.
